Tomsk, Russia - RIA Tomsk: Authorities have allocated nearly 70 million rubles to install insulin pumps for children with diabetes in 2025. According to the regional health department's press service, there are currently 384 children with this diagnosis in the Tomsk region.

The press service stated on Friday that in 2025, 30 children with diabetes will be eligible to receive high-tech medical assistance in the form of insulin pump installation. This funding comes from both federal and regional budgets.

It is mentioned that the pumps for replacement insulin therapy are currently being installed at Tomsk's Children's Hospital No1 and clinics at the Siberian State Medical University (SibGMU). Seven children have already received pumps this year.

"At present, 384 children in the Tomsk region have been diagnosed with diabetes," said the press service, quoting Robert Fidarov, head of the oblzdrav. "The system of regular check-ups helps detect this condition in children at an early age and allows for timely management."

Children from Tomsk, Asinovsky, Bakchar, Verkhneketsk, Zyryan, Tomsk rural districts, and Kemerovo Oblast, as well as the republics of Altai and Khakassia, have been receiving stationary medical assistance at the endocrinology department of Children's Hospital No1 since the beginning of 2025. Approximately 200 minors from these regions have received treatment so far.

By the end of summer, children in the region will be able to undergo a free professional medical examination at the Gornosad health facility. This information was provided by the press service.
