Arranging Pile Foundation Near Krasnoyarsk Crematorium
It looks like the construction of a crematory in Krasnoyarsk is finally making progress after being stuck in limbo for over a decade. Discussions about the need for such a facility in the city began as early as 2013.
In 2015, the city council faced a scandal when they rejected the project for a ritual facility.[3] However, in 2019, a proposal from OOO "Krasnoyarsk Crematory" emerged victorious in a competition. It wasn't until 2023 that the company received approval for the sanitary and protective zone. The investor obtained permission for construction after making necessary modifications to the building design in August of the previous year.[4]
The development will include a two-story crematory building, a retail pavilion for funeral goods, restrooms, a parking box, and retaining walls.
During the annual report on his work, on March 25, the mayor, Vladislav Loginov, announced that the crematory is currently under construction: at the construction site, the installation of the pile foundation is nearing completion.
According to the mayor of Krasnoyarsk, he requested a construction schedule and equipment supply schedule from the investor to have a clear understanding of the timeline.[5]
Previously, OOO "Krasnoyarsk Crematory" stated that construction would take a year, so there's a possibility that the ritual facility will be operational by the end of the year.[6]
