Alvin Eugene Billmeyer, Sr., a beloved resident of Colesburg, Iowa, passed away on July 21, 2025, at MercyOne Medical Center in Dyersville. Born on June 13, 1941, in Iowa, Alvin shared 55 years of marriage with his wife, Betty Lou Miller, whom he married in Dubuque on March 5, 1965.

Alvin worked for many years at Dubuque Packing Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Billmeyer; several siblings; half-siblings; a daughter-in-law, Autumn Hall; and other family members.

Alvin is survived by seven children, eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, four siblings, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the MercyOne Medical Center staff in Dyersville and the Dubuque Hospice for their care and support.
