The Hospice Service Rainbow, a non-profit organization based in the regions of Wassenberg, Heinsberg, Hückelhoven, Erkelenz, and Wegberg, Germany, is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a unique event. The festival, named "Fearless of Death," will take place at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre St. Bonifatius in Schaufenberg-Millich.

The Hospice Service Rainbow, which employs 80 volunteer workers in addition to full-time staff, has been providing care for individuals at the end of their lives in their own homes for a quarter of a century. The Ambulant Hospice Service Rainbow has been a beacon of hope, courage, and joy for many families, offering palliative care and support during difficult times.

The festival program promises an entertaining musical-literary evening, with the jazz pianist Eckart Krause accompanying the texts with selected music. The event will also feature a reading by the SiebenSchreiber author group from Wegberg, who will present their ideas on the topic from different perspectives and in various writing styles.

The "Fearless of Death" festival is more than just an event; it's a community gathering focused on engaging with themes of mortality, dying, and the end of life in an open, thoughtful, and supportive environment. The festival aims to demystify and reduce fear around death by fostering conversations, artistic expression, and educational activities related to hospice care, grief, and acceptance.

Workshops and talks led by hospice care professionals, grief counselors, and artists will provide insights into coping with death, the dying process, and the emotional impact on families. Art exhibitions and performances will explore themes of life, death, and remembrance, often encouraging reflection and dialogue. Interactive activities such as memory sharing, candle lighting, or creating commemorative art will offer opportunities for personal reflection and connection.

Hospice Service Rainbow staff and volunteers will be on hand to offer resources, advice, and guidance on hospice care options and end-of-life planning. Community gatherings will provide opportunities for social connection, where people share stories, support each other, and build a compassionate network.

The Hospice Service Rainbow cordially invites the public to attend the event, which takes place in the magnificent atmosphere of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre St. Bonifatius. By attending, you'll be supporting a valuable service that has been providing comfort and care to those in need for 25 years. Join us for an evening of hope, courage, and joy, as we celebrate the Hospice Service Rainbow's milestone anniversary and face the topic of death with fearlessness.

The Hospice Service Rainbow, extending its services beyond palliative care, has also ventured into health-and-wellness and mental-health through the "Fearless of Death" festival. This unique event, held at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre St. Bonifatius, aims to promote open conversations, artistic expressions, and educational activities around hospice care, grief, and acceptance, offering resources and support for both the mind and overall well-being.
