Digital Health Agency of Australia Set to Host an Informative Meeting in Canberra
The Australian Digital Health Agency is set to host an information session on July 15, 2024, at the Hellenic Club in Canberra. The session aims to share the Agency's vision for national digital health infrastructure and provide details about the modernization of the My Health Record system.
Peter O'Halloran, the Chief Digital Officer, will be speaking at the event. He encourages stakeholders and potential partners to register for the session and submit their questions in advance.
The modernization of the My Health Record system is a significant step towards ensuring seamless health data connection across the health system. The Agency plans to implement a new FHIR-based repository for the My Health Record system, which will allow for the storage of key records that form part of each consumer's My Health Record.
The new repository is expected to be built on the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard, a global standard for exchanging electronic health records. This standard will enable a unified architecture to support connected health care, making it easier for healthcare providers to access and share patient data.
Attendees of the information session will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. Feedback from attendees will help shape the Agency's procurement activities and market engagement approach.
The information session is open to stakeholders and potential partners who are interested in learning more about the Agency's plans for digital health infrastructure. It promises to be an informative event that could play a crucial role in shaping the future of digital health in Australia.
