In Oldenburg, Germany, a new drive-through COVID-19 rapid test station has opened its doors at the Weser-Ems Hallen (Messestraße). This test centre is part of the Oldenburg-Aurich-Schortes collaboration, joining forces to combat the ongoing pandemic.

The drive-through station began operations on Friday, March 19, at 8 am, and will continue to operate weekdays from 8 am to 6 pm and on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm. Only cars are allowed to approach the test station, and a valid ID is required for the test.

The tests provided are SARS-CoV2 antigen rapid tests, in accordance with the federal government's coronavirus testing regulation. These tests involve a painless swab in the front nasal area, ensuring minimal discomfort for those being tested.

No appointments are necessary for the tests at the drive-in station. Once the test is completed, results will be sent by email immediately after the test or can be picked up after 20 minutes.

For a comprehensive list of all test centers in Oldenburg, residents can visit the city's official website at www.oldenburg.de/corona-testzentren. The city is collaborating with three other test center operators to expand testing capacity and make it more accessible for the community.

It is essential to note that while this general process helps reduce exposure risk and increases testing efficiency, for precise details on the testing procedure at the Oldenburg-Aurich-Schortes center, including any special protocols, scheduling, or result reporting, it is recommended to consult the official local health authority or the test center's website directly.

This new drive-through test station is an important step in the fight against COVID-19, providing a convenient and safe testing option for the residents of Oldenburg.

The Oldenburg-Aurich-Schortes collaboration has expanded health-and-wellness initiatives by opening a drive-through COVID-19 rapid test station, offering other science-based medical-condition tests to the community. To receive these tests, residents should head to the Weser-Ems Hallen (Messestraße) with valid ID, as no appointments are necessary.
