Alzheimer's Society of Lanark Leeds Grenville Launches 40 Days of Giving Fundraiser
The Alzheimer's Society of Lanark Leeds Grenville is gearing up for its annual 40 Days of Giving fundraiser, running from August 8 to September 17. This initiative aims to raise $10,000 to support the society's programs and services for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, as well as their families and caregivers.
The Alzheimer's Society, an active member of the community for the past 40 years, offers a range of services designed to provide support, education, and social activities. These include adult day programs, phone support, virtual programs, and free dementia-friendly community education for businesses.
The adult day programs, available for a fee of $20, offer leisure activities, meals, personal care, physical exercise, and support groups. Funds raised through the 40 Days of Giving will help sustain and expand these programs, and also cover the costs of providing coffee and snacks for support groups, entertainment for programs, and craft supplies for participants.
