The Department of Health of the City of Moscow has unveiled an ambitious development plan for its leading hospitals, focusing on advanced infrastructure and high-tech medical care. This plan includes the modernization and enhancement of key institutions such as the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Care, the V.P. Demikhov City Clinical Hospital, the Moscow Clinical Scientific Research Center "Hospital 52," and the N.F. Filatov City Children's Clinical Hospital.

Embracing Modern Technology and Equipment

At the heart of this development plan is the equipping of these hospitals with advanced technology and medical equipment. This move aims to provide cutting-edge treatment options and improve patient outcomes.

Infrastructure Upgrades and Service Quality Enhancement

The plan also includes infrastructure upgrades to expand capacity and modernize facilities, meeting the increasing demand and enhancing service quality.

A Coordinated Network of Specialized Care Centers

The hospitals will be integrated into a coordinated network, streamlining patient care, especially for emergency and high-tech medical needs.

Focus on Emergency Care and Oncology Treatment

The N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute will see a focus on emergency care development, enhancing its role as a leading center for urgent and trauma care. Additionally, Moscow’s oncology treatment capabilities will be expanded as part of a broader strategy to organize anchor oncology hospitals.

Improvements in Child Healthcare

The N.F. Filatov City Children's Clinical Hospital will undergo significant improvements, ensuring advanced pediatric treatment and specialized child healthcare services.

This strategic plan aligns with the national "Long and Active Life" project, which aims to improve healthcare quality and accessibility across Russia, including Moscow’s development of specialized and emergency medical services.

The new complexes of these hospitals will be showcased at the central square of the "Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030" forum at the Gostiny Dvor. The new N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Care will house main clinical and diagnostic departments, including surgical and therapeutic wards, intensive care units, operating rooms, and tomography cabinets.

The new N.F. Filatov City Children's Clinical Hospital will significantly expand the possibilities for providing medical care to children, including modern high-tech operating rooms, a clinical-diagnostic department, a short-stay hospital, and special wards for children to stay with their parents.

Continued Learning Opportunities

Guests at the "Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030" forum can expect lectures, masterclasses, and competitions on August 16 and 17. The exposition, interactive zones, lectures, and masterclasses at Gostiny Dvor will continue to operate until September 14, with exceptions for Mondays.

Physicist Alexei Semikhátov and glaciologist Alexei Ekaikin will be among the speakers, presenting lectures on "Quantum Universe" and a climate forecast for the next 50 years, respectively.
