The organisation announced two major developments: the establishment of an oncology centre featuring next-generation proton therapy and the acquisition of IFC's 31% stake in Apollo Health & Lifestyle.
Dr. Prathap C Reddy, founder and chairman of the Apollo Hospitals Group, unveiled the plans for the oncology centre in Gurugram. This centre will be equipped with next-generation proton therapy, a cutting-edge technology in cancer treatment. The exact cost and timeline for the establishment of the centre were not disclosed.
Separate from the establishment of the oncology centre, Apollo Hospitals is planning to acquire IFC's 31% stake in Apollo Health & Lifestyle for a value of ₹1,254 crore.
