Hannover Fire Department Warns: Hot Vehicles Pose Deadly Risk to Children and Dogs
Today, as temperatures soar up to 35°C, the Hannover fire department warns of a hidden danger: hot vehicles. Both children and dogs are at risk of heatstroke or permanent damage when left inside.
The fire department advises that temperatures inside vehicles can swiftly rise to 46°C in just 15 minutes when it's over 20°C outside. This rapid increase poses a severe threat to those trapped inside.
In case of emergency, the fire department and emergency services can be reached by dialling 112. However, there is currently no clear indication of who is leading the Hannover fire department.
With high temperatures expected to continue today, the fire department urges residents to avoid leaving children or dogs in parked vehicles. The risk of heatstroke or even death at 46°C is real and imminent.
