Health Fair Successfully Takes Off in County District
Neuwied County hosts successful inaugural health fair "Aging Well - Stay Fit and Healthy"
County Neuwied, Germany - The first edition of the health fair "Aging Well - Stay Fit and Healthy," organized by County Neuwied, attracted a large number of attendees on its debut day. Visitors flocked to the Bürgerhaus in St. Katharinen as early as 11 am, where they were offered a wealth of information, lectures, and interactive activities.
Landrat Achim Hallerbach, the town's patron and event organizer, underscored the importance of maintaining good health for the majority of the local population. Thirty-five exhibitors from various sectors provided insights into medical care, mixing traditional booths, expert lectures, hands-on activities, and personal consultations.
Notable among the exhibitors was the Linzer Franziskus Hospital, which Landrat Hallerbach praised in his opening remarks for its ongoing service in the region and its dedicated team of medical professionals. The wide array of information available at the fair was reminiscent of a "who's who" of medical care, with health insurance providers, digital ambassadors, movement managers, hospitals, care support points, and partners of the county's Regional Initiative Naturgenuss participating.
Visitors had the opportunity to engage in various activities, such as riding a smoothie bike, navigating dementia or movement courses, participating in laughter yoga, chair gymnastics, and dance fitness. Individual services like blood pressure and oxygen level checks, hearing tests, and more were available throughout the fair.
The event concluded with a series of expert lectures on medical topics, nutrition, relaxation, and movement. Landrat Achim Hallerbach emphasized the significance of personal responsibility, prevention, and self-care for long-term health. The county's mayors and deputy commissioners were impressed by the event's diversity and quality.
