Ozzy Osbourne Passes Away at the Age of 76

Rock icon Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at the age of 76, according to a death certificate obtained by The New York Times. The certificate, filed at a register office in London, cites cardiac arrest and coronary artery disease as the causes of death, with Parkinson's disease and autonomic dysfunction listed as joint causes.

Osbourne, who was born in Birmingham, England, had been battling multiple health issues for several years. He publicly disclosed his Parkinson's disease in early 2020, and had spoken candidly about the physical challenges posed by the condition, including mobility issues.

In his final show just weeks before his death, Osbourne expressed gratitude to his fans, saying, "You're all... special. Let's go crazy, come on." Admirers watched the heavy metal icon perform while seated on a black throne during the concert.

Osbourne's family has asked for privacy and said that he was with relatives when he died. No further information on the location or circumstances of his death was provided.

Representatives for Osbourne did not immediately return the Associated Press' emailed requests for comment. The Associated Press also requested confirmation from the Hillingdon Council registry office but did not receive an immediate response.

Fans in Birmingham mourned Osbourne's death last week, with many paying tribute to the rock legend in his hometown.
