Heidelberg University's 'Univitality Health Week' Focuses on Cardiovascular Wellness

Heidelberg University is hosting 'Univitality Health Week' from 29th September to 2nd October 2025, focusing on cardiovascular health. The week is packed with talks, activities, and screenings, all organised by University Health Management (Univital).

Kicking off the week is an online lunchtalk by Janik Meyer, 'Foundations of Heart Health', on 29th September at 11:30 AM. The week continues with Prof. Dr. Simon Steib's talk 'Exercise as Medicine' on 30th September at the same time. Mona Henz will demonstrate relaxation techniques in 'Heart's Ease Through Relaxation' on 2nd October at 11:30 AM. Nutrition expert Rebecca Steiner will provide heart health tips in her talk 'Nutrition for Heart and Circulation' on 1st October.

Physical activities include Pilates, full-body workouts, rope skipping, guided walks, and beginner's running courses. A CPR training session is offered daily from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Zeughaus-Mensa in the Marstall, no registration required. A cardiovascular health screening is available daily from 8 AM to 5 PM at three university locations. Registration for activities and the health screening is possible on the Univital website.

The 'Univitality Health Week' offers a wealth of information and activities to promote cardiovascular health. With talks, physical activities, and health screenings, it caters to various aspects of heart health. The week is a great initiative by Univital to encourage students and employees of Heidelberg University to prioritise their cardiovascular health.
