Bella Hadid, the renowned model, is currently fighting against Lyme disease in a hospital in Germany, likely in Bavaria. The news of her hospitalization was confirmed through pictures shared on social media, which show European, German, and Bavarian flags, as well as images of Hadid connected to tubes and wearing an oxygen mask.
In one of the pictures, Hadid can be seen wearing an oxygen mask, a stark reminder of the battle she is facing. Her sister, Gigi Hadid, and mother, Yolanda Hadid, have taken to Instagram to show their support, with Yolanda referring to her daughter as a "Lyme warrior." Gigi wrote a message of love and well wishes, expressing her hope that Bella feels as strong and well as she deserves soon.
This is not the first time Bella Hadid has been open about her health struggles. In the summer of 2023, she announced that she was feeling better and was "finally healthy" after more than a decade of health problems. Despite her current hospital stay, Hadid has not shared the reason for her current hospitalisation with her 61 million Instagram followers.
Bella Hadid's battle with Lyme disease, also known as Borreliosis, began over 100 days ago when she started enduring chronic illnesses and co-infection treatments. Lyme disease is transmitted through tick bites.
Hadid has shared pictures from the clinic on her Instagram, giving her followers a glimpse into her journey. In some of the pictures, she can be seen in bed, connected to tubes. Despite her struggles, Hadid has remained positive, stating that the little me who suffered would be proud of the adult me because she didn't give up on herself.
Bella's mother, Yolanda Hadid, has also posted a heart emoji on Instagram, showing her unwavering support for her daughter. The location of Bella Hadid's current stay is not revealed.
