IoT Social Distancing App Launched by Syook to Combat COVID-19 Pandemic

Internet-enabled company Syook launches a social distancing application utilizing IoT (Internet of Things) technology in their battle against COVID-19.

In the face of the global coronavirus pandemic, Syook, a market leader in real-time logistics solutions (RTLS) and indoor location services, has stepped up to take charge. Recognizing the need to help slow the spread of the virus, Syook has deployed their technical expertise in this area.

Syook's founders, Maulik Shah and Dharmesh Hirani, both graduates of the Indian Institute of Technology, have been at the helm of this initiative. The company's CEO, Arjun Nagarajan, states that their proprietary Real Time Location Systems Platform (RTLS) is being used to help organizations encourage social distancing at workplaces.

The Syook app, designed with privacy concerns in mind, is a response to the current need for social distancing apps. It uses Bluetooth-based tracing to help individuals maintain a safe distance from each other.

Syook's expertise in indoor location services positions them perfectly to engineer controls that limit the spread of coronavirus at workplaces or high-footfall areas. Their solutions, combined with their proprietary IoT based platform, provide decision makers with actionable insights to boost productivity.

Indoor location solutions have multiple applications, including managing operations effectively, saving costs, and tracking missing equipment. According to a report, these solutions are expected to be a significant driver in the digital transformation initiatives of large organizations in sectors like manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and natural resources. The Indoor Location market is expected to grow by about 26% CAGR.

Syook's client base is impressive, including several Fortune 500 companies like Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, and Fiat. They onboarded Unilever as their first client and delivered the project successfully, with more clients following suit, although the specific details were not provided.

In early 2019, Syook received an undisclosed investment from Inflection Point Ventures. Today, Syook's location solutions help organizations like Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, and Fiat track their assets, people, and visitors all in one place.

Saurabh, COO of Syook, focused on securing their first enterprise client, Unilever. Syook's Co-founders, Arjun Nagarajan and Aman Agarwal, learned coding 10 years after graduating from IIT. Their dedication to innovation and technology has made Syook a significant player in the Indoor Location market, contributing to its growth.

The increasing demand for efficient management of operations, cost savings, and asset tracking in various industries has attributed to the growth of the Indoor Location market. Syook sees it as a responsibility for organizations with technical expertise to come forth and take charge in the fight against the coronavirus.
