Rainy Beach Scenes in Minsk Unveiled
Epidemiologists in Minsk carried out thorough inspections of recreational areas, including beaches, from May 23 to 29. The inspections aimed to ensure the suitability and safety of the sites in preparation for the swimming season.
Special attention was given to the condition of the beaches, infrastructure, and maintenance, as well as the availability and condition of signs, access roads, parking facilities, bike racks, public toilets, sports and children's playgrounds, changing cabins, and other equipment, along with mobile food and rental outlets. Several violations were noted, and the responsible organizations have been instructed to rectify them.
During the inspections, the condition of water bodies was also assessed, with laboratory testing performed. The hygienic standards for microbiological safety were met in all water samples, allowing for no restrictions on swimming in Minsk. With significant installation work and the addition of new sand, the city now boasts 23 beaches ready for use.
