Duchess Meghan's Realistic Approach to Meal-Time Chaos
So, she resorts to pre-prepared meals instead. - Reaches for pre-prepared meals for convenience
Duchess Meghan, the 43-year-old wife of Prince Harry, spills the beans in her latest podcast episode about why she sometimes opts for pre-made meals. On the popular podcast, "Confessions of a Female Founder," she chats with entrepreneur Heather Hasson, founder of the successful clothing brand Figs for medical professionals.
Meghan shares her entrepreneurial journey, stating, "It gets hectic. The best founders aren't afraid to dive in and get their hands dirty - not in dirty business practices, but being the first one to mop up when room five needs a good cleaning." As a founder, it's all about finding practical solutions to daily problems without complicating or overburdening them. "How do I utilize my hands and shift my perspective so the task doesn't feel intimidating?" she says.
Time Crunch and Takeout
Applying this mindset to her kitchen as well, since launching her company As Ever, she honestly admits, "Sometimes I see veggies, and I see takeout because I don't always have time to cook." She adds, "I ponder, 'How can I create an appealing and stunning presentation so it excites taste buds?'"
Acting Skills for Entrepreneurship
Later in the podcast, Meghan also reveals that her acting training in theater helped her master sewing. "I learned all aspects of production from the ground up in my acting program, including handling sewing machines. It proved to be fantastic training for leading a team, understanding the roles of the sound technician, lighting person, and costume department," she explains.
Attention to detail was crucial in setting up As Ever. "While establishing As Ever, I must say it's a constant state of recalibration," she remarks. As a founder, one is always on the move, working on solutions, filling gaps, and crossing off numerous items on the to-do list.
