On Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Bürgerhaus/Pfarrheim in Ehrenberg-Wüstensachsen, the 'Together - For Each Other' Oberes Fuldatal e.V. Association is hosting a free information evening on dementia. This event is open to those affected, relatives, and anyone interested in learning about interacting respectfully and understandingly with people living with dementia.
The evening, themed 'We Understand Dementia', offers a unique opportunity for idea exchange, networking, and gaining new perspectives on dealing with dementia. It kicks off at 5:30 PM with an interactive station called 'How it feels!', designed to help attendees understand the experiences of those living with dementia.
At 7 PM, there will be an Information Forum on dementia, followed by an understandable lecture on approaching confused people in daily life in a safe and respectful manner. The lecture will focus on specific situations where empathetic behavior is particularly important, providing insights into the world of people living with dementia and practical tips for daily life.
Throughout the event, attendees can engage with various interactive stations, a lecture, and an information exchange. The event is organized by the Pflegestützpunkt Landkreis Fulda, a joint institution of statutory care and health insurance providers and the district, offering neutral and free advice and support.
