Renowned Russian Cardiologist Yan Gabinsky Steps Down After 55-Year Career
Renowned Russian physician Yan Gabinsky is stepping down as chief physician of Ural Institute of Cardiology on October 9. His term has expired as per Article 350 of the Russian Labor Code, which sets the maximum age for chief physicians at 65 years, extendable by up to 5 years by a collective decision.
Gabinsky, a professor and doctor of medical sciences, has led the institute with distinction. He has published over 300 scientific works, seven monographs, and received 12 patents in Russia, China, the USA, and European countries. Despite his departure, his professional experience and managerial potential will continue to be in demand as a mentor to young colleagues. After his resignation, Gabinsky will be active in scientific consulting and independent research. The institution has offered him alternative employment opportunities in another capacity.
Yan Gabinsky's departure from Ural Institute of Cardiology marks the end of an era. His contributions to the field of cardiology and the institution will be greatly missed. However, his expertise will continue to benefit the medical community in his new roles.
