In a chilling incident, a six-year-old girl went missing from the Rulantica water park in Rust, Germany, around 8:20 PM on Saturday. After losing sight of her parents in the bustling park, the girl was reportedly lured into a wooded area adjacent to the park by a 31-year-old Romanian man.
According to police, the suspect is believed to have solicited sexual acts from the child. Although no evidence of rape or external injuries has been found, the young victim is said to have suffered serious psychological trauma. The child was eventually found over an hour later, approximately five kilometers away in the town of Kappel-Grafenhausen.
German authorities have identified the suspect through surveillance footage and have issued an arrest warrant. However, they believe he has fled the country, most likely back to Romania, prompting a Europe-wide manhunt. A search of his residence in Germany found no sign of him, and his passport was also missing, police said.

The water park Rulantica, which opened in Rust in November 2019, was the scene of this horrific incident. The name is a play on words combining "Rust" and "Atlantic". All 700 employees at the park are highly sensitized to this issue and are encouraged to keep their eyes open.
