In the heart of Pforzheim, two iconic structures - the Sparkassenturm and the power plant associated with Stadtwerke Pforzheim - are bathed in a warm, vibrant orange glow. This year, for the first time, the power plant's illumination joins the Sparkassenturm in a powerful display of solidarity and awareness.

The Sparkassenturm, a well-known tower near public buildings, and the power plant, the city's largest heater, are not being illuminated for heating purposes. Instead, they are adorned with LED lighting, transforming them into visual beacons of hope and change.

Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, these landmarks serve as a public statement of Pforzheim's commitment to ending gender-based violence. The colour orange, internationally recognised as a symbol of a brighter future free from violence against women and girls, illuminates these structures, drawing attention to the issue and promoting awareness.

By illuminating these prominent landmarks in orange, Pforzheim aligns itself with global campaigns and initiatives aiming to end violence against women. The illuminated Sparkassenturm and power plant stand as a testament to the city's support for efforts to eliminate such violence.

In honour of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, both structures have been lit up, shining brightly in the night sky as a symbol of hope and a call for action. This year, the power plant associated with the Sparkassenturm is also illuminated, doubling the impact of this powerful statement.

As the sun sets, the orange glow from the Sparkassenturm and the power plant serves as a reminder that the fight against violence against women is a global issue that requires collective action and solidarity. In Pforzheim, this fight is being taken to the streets, literally, as these landmarks stand as a visual testament to the city's commitment to a brighter, safer future for all.

Science and health-and-wellness take center stage as the Sparkassenturm and the power plant, transformed by LED lighting, promote the importance of women's health on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The illuminated structures, bathed in the symbolic color of orange, advocate for a future free from gender-based violence.
