Takara Bio USA Expands Trekker Kits for End-to-End Spatial Biology Solution

Takara Bio USA has expanded its Trekker Single-Cell Spatial Mapping Kits to offer an end-to-end lands end spatial biology solution. This comprehensive tool combines spatial omics with epigenetics and immune profiling, and is now compatible with formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples. The company will showcase its latest offerings at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Annual Meeting in Boston from October 14-18.

The expanded Trekker kits now support a platform-agnostic approach, working seamlessly with various third-party instrument systems such as 10x Genomics, BD Biosciences, Illumina, and Parse Biosciences. This compatibility aims to provide true single-cell spatial resolution and deeper biological insights to a wider range of researchers. Additionally, Takara Bio USA has enhanced its R&D team dedicated to spatial animal cell and moved all manufacturing of its Trekker and Seeker solutions to its parent company's facilities to meet growing global demand.

To further facilitate research, the company is introducing an enhanced, end-to-end bioinformatics software solution with dedicated technical support. This move aims to make spatial single-cell analysis more accessible to a broader spectrum of researchers using commonly used archival sample types.

Takara Bio USA, a pioneer in retroviral gene delivery with products like RetroNectin used in over 68 gene therapy clinical trials, continues to innovate in the life science research solutions sector. Its expanded Trekker kits, now offering an end-to-end spatial biology solution, reflect the company's commitment to supporting diverse research workflows and making cutting-edge technologies more accessible to the scientific community.
