U.S. artist grapples with advanced renal cancer. - Terminal kidney cancer diagnosed in renowned American musician.

Brad Arnold, the charismatic frontman of American rock band 3 Doors Down, has hit a sudden bump in the road. In an unexpected turn of events, Arnold has shared his battle with terminal kidney cancer – a setback that comes just a week before the band's much-anticipated US tour.

In a video posted on the band's X-account, Arnold disclosed that he is grappling with a fourth-stage kidney cancer, which has already metastasized to his lungs. Inevitably, the tour has been canceled.

Finding Out the Hard Way

Arnold found out about his grave condition only recently. He explains in the footage that he fell unwell a few weeks ago. His health didn’t improve despite several days of rest, leading him to seek medical attention. The subsequent diagnosis left him reeling.

But Arnold remains undaunted. His unwavering faith in God provides him hope, along with the encouraging messages from their devoted fans. "Together we've made beautiful memories, and I believe my anthem 'It's Not My Time' rings especially true now," he said, asking for their prayers.

Prognosis for Terminal Clear Cell Renal Carcinoma (ccRCC)

Arnold’s cancer is a clear cell renal carcinoma (ccRCC), a common subtype of kidney cancer that, unfortunately, is resistant to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The 5-year survival rate for smaller ccRCC tumors hovers between 50 and 69%. However, for larger, undetected tumors, the prognosis plummets to around 10%.

3 Doors Down, formed in 1996, produced several iconic hits, including the global smash "Kryptonite," which topped charts back in 2000. The band recently made headlines for performing at Donald Trump's inauguration.
