On September 12, 2025, two separate incidents of single-vehicle accidents involving significant alcohol consumption occurred in Bochum, Germany.

The first incident took place at around 4 p.m. on Lewackerstraße in Bochum-Linden. A 40-year-old man from Hattingen drove off the road and onto the sidewalk at house number 267. A breathalyzer test showed a reading of 2.52% BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) for the man from Hattingen. He sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to the hospital.
