Youthful creativity combats comatose state

In an exciting turn of events, the 'Colorful Instead of Blue' awareness campaign, which aims to combat alcohol abuse among young people, has extended the deadline for new registrations. The competition, which is now in its twelfth year, invites students aged 12 to 17 from across the country to submit their poster designs on the topic of binge drinking.

The initiative has garnered significant support from both federal and regional officials. Daniela Ludwig, the Federal Drug Commissioner, serves as the federal patron of the campaign. In North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), School Minister Yvonne Gebauer takes on the role as the regional patron.

Since its inception in 2010, more than 110,000 students have participated in this initiative, creating a vibrant and colorful gallery of posters against alcohol abuse. The federal and state winners will still be crowned in 2021, but later than originally planned, providing more time for students to perfect their designs.

Christian Lipinski of DAK-Gesundheit in Düsseldorf announced that participants will have more time to creatively design their drafts for the competition. This extended deadline means that those who haven't had the chance yet will now have more time and space to work on their posters in the coming weeks and months.

The award ceremonies for the competition will be held in the fall, where the winners will be celebrated for their artistic and thoughtful contributions to the campaign. The 'Colorful Instead of Blue' initiative continues to inspire young minds to address important social issues in a creative and impactful way.

For those interested in participating, it's recommended to visit the official website or contact the organisers directly for the most accurate and updated information.
